MARKO STAT$
Marko Stat$ is a Chicago native, raised and well-respected in the Uptown neighborhood. When Marko Stat$ first began, he said he never thought in a million years that he'd be pursing a career in music. His father was insistent on education and he urged Marko to follow his footsteps. However, his destiny was set when his childhood babysitter introduced him to Hip-Hop. She had an enormous collection of rap CDs and introduced him to influential artists such as Michael Jackson, Prince, Nas, and 50 Cent. Marko Stat$ started writing my own raps in fifth grade but shortly quit due to a lack of confidence and support. In High-school, he managed to pick the pen back up and pursue rap. Experiencing hardship after his mother passing, Hip-hop has gave him an outlet to speak his mind and gather his thoughts. Though his father still hated hip-hop for its excessive use of foul language and he never allowed him to play it around the house, Marko Stat$ managed to develop a deep love for the art and create it into something of his own.

ACED SPADE
How Aced Spade Became Prime

Aced Spade is a producer from the North side of Chicago. Rogers Park to be exact. It all started when he was exposed to a wide variety of music genres from African (He is Nigerian, Ghanian, and Kenyan) to Soul to Old and New School Hip Hop. His mom listened to everything. What he gravitated towards more was old school and New school hip hop and he would dance to them at parties. He initially started off as a hip hop dancer. He didn't start producing until he was 12 because his stepbrother had FL on his laptop and he was still computerless. His step-brother would fight him sometimes because he would constantly bug him to use his laptop to make beats. That's when he realized that he could contribute to make good music and not just only listen to his favorite artists and now, here he is.

TERRY MACK

How Terry Mack Became Prime

Terry Mak hails from Morristown, New Jersey. Coming from a small but socially and ethnically diverse community, Terry has encountered several life experiences that go into his music. His creativity is not confined solely to that of the essence of his hometown though. He was first drawn to music through RnB, Jazz, and Soul records he would hear his family play, and wasn’t even allowed to listen to Hip Hop when he was young. The foundation for his love for music came from the age where his mother was only comfortable with him listening to artist such as Michael Jackson and Usher. He started writing poetry in grade school, and when he was finally introduced to Hip Hop, he put his ability using words to resonate with people along with the infectious power of hip hop production, and began telling his story. Terry started exploring the genre for himself and he gravitated towards the music of artists such as 2pac, Joe Budden, Lil Wayne, Nas, and Curren$y. When Terry built the confidence to put his own music out, he started performing and recording himself at the age of 16 and has been doing so ever since. His wants to be relatable with his music, so his chooses to talk about different topics like life, love, relationships, mental health, vices, knowledge of self, and other subjects that may come off extremely personal for some. Today, Terry serves as not only a recording artist, but a song writer and producer.
